Skyline Payments Privacy Notice

This Privacy Notice explains our practices, defines our users’ (“you” or “your”) privacy options, and describes how your information is collected and used by Skyline Payment Systems, LLC (“we,” “us,” “our,” or “Skyline”).

This Privacy Notice governs your use of Skyline website at https://skylinepayments.com/ (the “Site”), and any information we may access through our social media platforms. For the purposes of this Privacy Notice, we will refer to all of these access points as Skyline system (the “System”). Skyline provides payment technology services and B2B payment solutions for its customers (“Service”).

Personal Information means any identifying information, usually your name in combination with another identifier, such as date of birth, postal address, email address, telephone number, or government-issued identification number. Personal Information does not include anonymous or aggregated data that can no longer be used to identify a specific person, even if combined with other data. The specific definition of Personal Information varies from one jurisdiction to another. Our System and Service are directed to users in the United States and if you use our System or Service outside of the United States, you consent to having your Personal Information processed in accordance with this Privacy Notice.

We may update this policy from time to time and will mark new versions with a corresponding effective date. We recommend you visit the Site to review any changes in our practices. Your continued use of the System constitutes your agreement to our then-current Privacy Notice.

What Information is Collected?

Information Collected Directly from You

We may collect Personal Information about you when you sign up for a mailing list, create an account as an enterprise customer, request access to download our resources or files on our Site, join our customer referral program, when you click on “Book a Demo” and schedule a call, request a free statement analysis or more information about our Service, apply for a job opportunity, or as part of other online services.

The information we may collect includes, but may not be limited to:

  • Name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and other location or contact information
  • Your company name, role and business affiliations
  • Professional or educational information
  • Internet or other similar network activity, such as IP address, browsing history or information on a user’s interaction with a website or application
  • Other information related to your requests or inquiries or information you input into the “Comments” box to contact us regarding

We may also collect information from you when you sign up for our customer referral program or partnerships online using account credentials from third-party services such as Google, Facebook, Apple or Microsoft (“Single Sign” or “SSO”). If you choose to use SSO, we will receive certain information such as your name, email address, and any other information that you authorize us the provider of the SSO to share with us. We use this information to provide the Site and services to you and communicate with you. We do not control their privacy practices, so please refer to the terms of use and privacy policy of the SSO. You may disconnect your SSO account from our System by contacting us.

Information Collected Automatically

To provide you with our Service, complete your requests and maintain a functional System, we may automatically collect certain information when you visit or navigate the Site, including:

  • Location, date and time you access the System, and IP addresses to measure our website traffic and to help provide a more personalized experience
  • Your browser type and other technical specifications such as device ID, hardware/software type, internet service provider, serving domains
  • Your search and transaction history relating to the use of our products and services
  • Files that allow us to “recognize” you when you navigate the Site, to credit your account for various online transactions and collect data such as analytics, page views, targeting data, ad views, and interaction data
  • Your activities on the Site during a session

Collecting Information from Children Under the Age of 16

Our Site and System are not designed or targeted for children, and we do not knowingly collect, maintain, or use Personal Information from any person under the age of 16. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with Personal Information, please contact us so that we may delete such information. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children’s internet usage and to help enforce our Privacy Notice by instructing their children never to provide Personal Information on our System without their permission. If you learn that a child under the age of 16 has provided us with Personal Information in violation of this Privacy Notice, then you may alert us at support@skylinepayments.com. We will take reasonable steps to delete that information as quickly as possible.

How Is the Information We Collect Used?

We collect information about you in order to provide you with services and products, and to make the System work properly. We use Personal Information for a variety of purposes related to our business, including but not limited to:

Providing services and support

Performing the essential functions of the System including responding to inquiries, fulfilling orders and requests, processing estimate requests, processing payments, providing support and troubleshooting, data aggregation, analysis and report creation to assess marketing effectiveness and/or business performance, and communicating with users about their use of the System or responding to a user initiated inquiry on the System.

Communicating with users about products or services

Sending or initiating direct marketing programs, such as newsletters or information about new products or services we are offering; using content from social media platforms where users discuss our products or use a hashtag related to our products.

Personalizing user experiences on our System

Tailoring content on the System based on user location, preferences, and other personalization factors.

Analytics and System improvement

Tracking information about your visits to our Site or use of the System to allow us to provide better service, using certain online preferences in the aggregate across all users to evaluate the System and develop additional products and services to offer.

Compliance with legal obligations

Sharing information as required or appropriate to comply with the law or a legal proceeding, such as in response to a subpoena or court order, to detect and investigate security incidents and potentially illegal or prohibited activities or to protect your, our, or others’ rights, property, or safety.

Service Providers

We may share non-individual information, in the aggregate, regarding your online browsing preferences to evaluate our products or allow the service providers with whom we work with to better serve our users. We will not share personally identifiable information in these instances, other than as described in this Privacy Notice.

We may provide user information to our service providers or vendors for reasons such as:

  • Initiating direct marketing programs on our behalf
  • Data tracking
  • Maintenance or development of our System
  • Development of online products, services, or customer service, or new product development
  • Other contracted promotional opportunities provided to our users

Legal and Compliance

We may also share your Personal Information in connection with government or law enforcement requests or in response to investigations, subpoenas, court orders, or other legal processes to: operate this System, process any orders or registrations, protect the rights or property of Skyline, its affiliates, users, and customers, establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims, or as otherwise required by law.

Business Transfers

We may also disclose your information to a third party as part of reorganization or a sale of the assets of Skyline, or its subsidiaries or divisions. Any third party to which Skyline transfers or sells the System or related assets will have the right to continue to use the personal and other information that you provide to us. In the event of an insolvency, bankruptcy, or receivership, your Personal Information may also be transferred as a business asset.

Partnerships

We may disclose Personal Information to our payment processing partners and to other business partners who partake in, assist or participate in Services demonstrations or demonstrations of other products.

Cookies, Pixels, and Similar Technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to gather information about your use of our System and to customize your experience using the System. Tracking technologies used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyze our System.

Cookies

Cookies are small data files that help us keep track of your usage of the System. Many of the cookies we use enable the System to function as you would expect it to. Persistent cookies enable the System to remember things like your login information for convenience, and session cookies are useful for things like keeping the items in your shopping cart when you navigate away from the page, all of which allows us to enhance the user experience. Cookies also enable us to track and analyze user behavior to help improve our System.

We use the following categories of cookies on the System (Essential, Functional, Analytics, and Advertising Cookies):

Essential Cookies. These cookies are necessary for the website to function and cannot be switched off in our systems. They are usually only set in response to actions made by you such as setting your privacy preferences, logging in, or filling in forms.

Functional Cookies. These cookies enable the website to provide enhanced functionality and personalization. They may be set by us or by third party providers whose services we have added to our pages. Still, certain functions or features may become unavailable if you refuse them.

Analytics Cookies. These cookies allow us to count visits, which pages you visit, and whether you experience any errors and traffic sources so we can measure and improve the performance of our site. They help us to know which pages are the most and least popular and see how visitors move around the site. We use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity for this purpose. These cookies do not collect any personally identifiable information. The information collected is only used to analyze how the System is being accessed and used in order for us to improve the System and your experience using it.

Advertising Cookies. These cookies may be set through our site by our advertising partners. They may be used by those companies to build a profile of your interests, collect information designed to customize your experience on the System and other sites, show you relevant advertisements, and tailor marketing to your interest. This information may be shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

Pixels

Pixels are small transparent images embedded in a site, email or ad and may provide information to platforms, who may combine your information with other information they have about you. We use pixels such as HubSpot to automatically collect information when you visit our System. These technologies usually track advertising preferences from site to site, and gather data about a users’ browsing habits to improve the user experience. You may seek to block tracking pixels by installing a dedicated browser extension or ad-blocking extension for that purpose or by adjusting your browser privacy settings.

Google Analytics

We use Google Analytics to help create reports and statistics on the performance of the Site. Google Analytics collects information such as your IP address, device type and operating system, referring URLs, location and pages visited. If you don’t want Google Analytics to be used in your browser, you can install the “Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-On,” provided by Google.

Marketing Communications

You have the right to opt-out of marketing communications we send you.

If you no longer want to receive marketing-related emails from us, you can opt-out of receiving such emails by clicking the “unsubscribe” link at the bottom of any marketing email you receive from us. Please be aware that you will continue to receive certain communications from us that are necessary for our services. Third Party Websites and Links

Our System may contain links to other websites. These websites may have privacy policies different from our Privacy Notice. Although you can view the material we have linked to, you may have to create an individual account. Any interaction on social media or other third-party websites is governed not by this Privacy Notice but by the terms of use and privacy policy of the particular platform.

Security and Data Retention

We make reasonable efforts to maintain administrative, physical, and technical safeguards for all Personal Information collected in our System, designed to protect your Personal Information from unauthorized access and against unlawful processing, accidental loss, destruction and damage. Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure, we cannot make any guarantees as to the security or privacy of your Personal Information.

We retain data collected from you only for as long as necessary to complete the purpose for which it was collected.

States’ Privacy Rights

A number of US states may provide their residents with certain privacy rights. Depending on how the applicable privacy law defines a “sale,” we may sell Personal Information to third parties in connection with the System. We also use cookies, pixels and tracking technologies to display advertisements about our services to you on nonaffiliated website, applications, and online services. This is “targeted advertising” under applicable privacy laws.

Residents of certain US states may have the right to request:

  • Whether we are processing your Personal Information, access to that information and to receive a copy of your Personal Information.
  • Correction of your Personal Information that is inaccurate.
  • Deletion of your Personal Information.
  • Opt out of the processing of your Personal Information for the purposes of providing you with targeted advertising, the sale of your Personal Information, and profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.

Right to appeal. At times we may be unable to process requests relating to your Personal Data, in which case, your request will be denied. If your privacy rights request has previously been denied by us and you believe we denied it in error, you may appeal for reconsideration of your request via emailing support@skylinepayments.com.

We do not use Personal Information for profiling in furtherance of decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for a consumer.

Under the Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 603A, we do not currently engage in the “sale” of Personal Information.

We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights under the applicable state data protection laws.

The exact scope of these rights may vary by state. To exercise any of these rights, or to appeal a decision regarding a consumer rights request please contact us at support@skylinepayments.com. Please note that we may need to authenticate your identity before your request can be processed, providing us with 2-3 pieces of Personal Information which we will match to the information we maintain about you. For authentication, you may be asked to provide certain Personal Information that we will match against our records. You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf; however, you will still need to verify your identity directly with us before your request can be processed.

Shine the Light

California’s “Shine the Light” law (Civil Code Section § 1798.83) permits users of our Site that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of Personal Information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Do Not Track Signals

The System does not respond to browsers’ Do Not Track signals. We honor the Global Privacy Control.
